MEKcast-musicblog Music Performance Index
MEKcast-musicblog will be launching the Music Performance Index (MPI) in the near future. The objective of the MPI is to track songs' performance in the region through their rankings in various charts.
The format of the MPI is simple. When a song gets ranked in the top 10 in any of our included charts, it earns Performance Index (PI) points for the song and the singer(s). The PI points for each song is then added up. Every week, the points are added up and compared. The results will be reflected in the Weekly Ranking.
At the end of the season, the PI scores are tallied for each song that has at least 1 PI point. The final score is then given for each song. A Final Ranking will be produced to compare the scores of various songs. Similar rankings for artistes and/or albums may be considered given sufficient interest and resources.
